To apply for a Personal Licence, you must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older

  • Hold a Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders (APLH) qualification

📑 What You Need to Submit

Here’s a checklist of documents required for your application:

  1. 📜 Original APLH Qualification Certificate
    – Issued after passing the Level 2 Award

  2. 📝 Personal Licence Application Form

  3. 🔍 Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) Check
    – This replaces the former CRB check
    – Must be completed within 28 days of submitting your application
    – Cost: £21.50

  4. 🖼️ Two Passport-Sized Photos
    – One must be signed by a professional to confirm your identity

  5. 💷 Application Fee: £37
    – Payable to your local licensing authority when submitting your application
