How much does a premises licence cost?
The cost of a Premises Licence application is made up of the statutory fee payable to the licensing authority and, if you use professional support, the fee for preparing and managing the application.

How Are Premises Licence Application Fees Calculated?
For most premises, statutory fees are linked to the non-domestic rateable value and the relevant fee band. Certain premises can be subject to additional multipliers.
| Fee band | New application & variation | Annual fee |
|---|---|---|
| Band A Rateable value None to £4,300 | £100 | £70 |
| Band B Rateable value £4,301 to £33,000 | £190 | £180 |
| Band C Rateable value £33,001 to £87,000 | £315 | £295 |
| Band D Rateable value £87,001 to £125,000 | £450 | £320 |
| Band E Rateable value £125,001 plus | £635 | £350 |

Additional fees apply to exceptionally large events of 5,000+ people. Source: GOV.UK alcohol licensing fee levels, checked September 2026.
